Usage: How We Use ShareFile for Secure Document Management

  1. Centralized Document Storage & Organization
    • ShareFile serves as Balefire’s primary digital filing system, ensuring that all important firm, client, and regulatory documents are securely stored and easily accessible.
    • Documents are organized into structured folders based on:
      • Client files: Financial plans, signed agreements, account records.
      • Firm documents: Internal policies, compliance reports, HR records.
      • HIPAA-Protected & Sensitive Data: Health-related documents, insurance applications, and confidential information.

This eliminates physical paperwork, enhances organization, and ensures firm-wide accessibility in a secure environment.

How to Download and Install ShareFile for Windows

  1. Visit the Official Download Page
    Go to the ShareFile Apps & Integrations page: ShareFile Apps & Integrations
  2. Download the Installer
    Click on “Download ShareFile for Windows” to get the installer package.
  3. Run the Installer
    Open the downloaded file and follow the on-screen prompts to install the application.
  4. Sign In
    After installation, launch the app and sign in with your ShareFile credentials.
  5. Access Your Files
    Once installed, you will have a ShareFile folder available in your Windows Explorer. You can manage your files directly, just like any other folder on your PC.

How to Pin ShareFile to Your Taskbar

  1. Open ShareFile
    Launch the ShareFile Desktop App or log into ShareFile through your web browser.
  2. Find the App on the Taskbar
    Once ShareFile is open, its icon will appear on the taskbar at the bottom of your screen.
  3. Right-Click the ShareFile Icon
    Right-click on the ShareFile icon that’s visible on the taskbar.
  4. Click “Pin to Taskbar”
    In the right-click menu, select “Pin to Taskbar.”

This will keep the ShareFile application easily accessible even after you close it.
