Jason Hester brings over 25 years of experience working with family-owned businesses, their leadership teams, and multi-generational families navigating complex wealth decisions. Throughout his career, he has consistently advised and built plans for clients in the $10M–$500M net worth range and businesses generating $10M–$100M in EBITDA—guiding them through growth, transition, and long-term wealth preservation.
Prior to co-founding Balefire, Jason built and scaled multiple organizations—including Navitas Wealth Advisors, The Fortis Company, and several mission-driven enterprises—executing 10x growth strategies and leading teams through periods of significant expansion and transformation. His experience is not theoretical—he has operated inside businesses, led organizations, and personally navigated the challenges of succession, including taking over and scaling his own family’s firm.
Jason is best known for his ability to take highly complex situations—particularly those involving business transitions, family dynamics, and multi-layered wealth structures—and design clear, executable strategies that align stakeholders and drive results. He has repeatedly helped families make critical decisions around leadership succession, ownership transitions, and long-term planning—often in moments where the outcome materially impacts both the business and the family’s future.
His work is grounded in a core belief: most wealth doesn’t fail due to lack of intelligence or effort, but due to a lack of clarity, alignment, and coordinated strategy. This perspective led him to architect Balefire’s private wealth frameworks—designed to integrate business, financial, and generational planning into a single, cohesive system.
As Co-CEO of Balefire, Jason operates at the intersection of strategy, architecture, and foresight—ensuring the firm stays ahead of the challenges its clients will face, not just the ones they see today. His role is not just to advise, but to design the systems, frameworks, and solutions that allow families to grow, transition, and sustain wealth across generations.
Jason and his wife, Brandy, have been married for 25 years and have three children—Henley, Hayes, and Bryce—who are each launching careers of their own. They live on a farm in Central Mississippi, where they enjoy gardening, outdoor sports, and traveling together. Jason also spends his free time reading, playing golf, riding motorcycles, working with his hands, and tackling home projects.
