Jeanne Dortch brings experience in accounting, human resources, team leadership, and financial operations to her work supporting Balefire clients and their life insurance strategies. Focused on insurance policy services, she oversees the ongoing needs of existing policies, helping ensure they remain properly managed and aligned with each client’s broader financial plan.
Jeanne began her career in staff accounting, where she developed a foundation in financial analysis and attention to detail. She later moved into human resources and leadership, overseeing more than 25 employees and managing payroll, benefits, hiring, and employee transitions. Those roles gave her both analytical discipline and experience working directly with people through sensitive situations.
At Balefire, Jeanne works closely with clients, advisors, and insurance providers on a range of policy needs. Her responsibilities include monitoring policy health and performance, processing policy changes and claims, preparing financial reporting, coordinating index allocation changes, and managing ownership and beneficiary updates. Her oversight helps advisors evaluate whether existing coverage continues to serve its intended purpose.
As part of Balefire’s Insurance team, Jeanne combines detailed policy oversight with direct client contact, supporting the day-to-day work behind each client’s existing coverage.
Jeanne lives in Star, Mississippi, where she and her family enjoy life on their countryside property. Her hobbies include playing piano, raising chickens, riding ATVs, and going fishing. She is also very active in her church where she serves on the Praise Team.
