Role Overview

We are seeking an Investment Associate to join our Investments team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a detail-driven, analytical, and fast-paced environment. The Investment Associate will play a critical part in supporting portfolio management, research, reporting, and client service—ensuring that our advisors and clients receive exceptional insights and solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Portfolio Management & Trade Support
    • Assist in daily monitoring of client portfolios, including performance, allocations, and cash positions.
    • Process and track trade orders, rebalancing, and model updates in coordination with advisors.
    • Support tax-loss harvesting, account transitions, and investment strategy implementation.
  2. Account Servicing & Money Movement
    • Prepare and process money movement requests, including wires, ACH transfers, journal entries, and RMD distributions.
    • Assist in account updates such as beneficiary changes, address changes, and account titling.
    • Coordinate with custodians to ensure timely and accurate processing of transactions.
    • Maintain detailed records of all client requests, approvals, and follow-ups for compliance.
  3. Reporting & Documentation
    • Generate quarterly and ad hoc investment performance reports for clients.
    • Compile data on portfolio performance, asset allocation, and benchmarks.
    • Prepare client-ready reports, proposals, and presentation materials for advisor meetings.
    • Ensure accuracy and consistency of all reporting across custodial and internal systems.
  4. Research & Analysis
    • Conduct investment research on asset classes, funds, and market trends to support advisor recommendations.
    • Prepare comparative analyses and model portfolio updates.
    • Assist in developing investment commentaries and market outlooks.
  5. Compliance & Operations
    • Ensure all trading, reporting, and money movement requests adhere to firm and regulatory compliance standards.
    • Support internal audits, reconciliations, and documentation for compliance review.
    • Maintain up-to-date client records in CRM and portfolio management systems.
  6. Collaboration & Client Support
    • Partner with advisors to address client inquiries regarding performance, statements, and portfolio activity.
    • Act as a point of contact with custodians and vendors for account servicing needs.
    • Support the Investments team with special projects, product due diligence, and client events.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field (CFA/CFP® pursuit preferred).
  • 2–4 years of experience in investments, asset management, or financial services.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Bloomberg, Morningstar, or similar investment tools.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Process account paperwork, fund transfers, and service requests accurately and efficiently.
  • Coordinate workflows between advisors, custodians, and internal teams.
  • Monitor and resolve account alerts and service escalations in a timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate client records in CRM systems (Practifi/Salesforce).
  • Support compliance processes and uphold regulatory standards.
  • Contribute to internal projects that improve service quality and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of experience in financial services, legal, or consulting environments.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems (Salesforce/Practifi preferred).
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities and a proactive approach.
  • Demonstrated professionalism and a strong commitment to client service.
