Mike Bernier serves as Director of Recruiting at Balefire Wealth, where he leads the firm’s advisor recruiting strategy and works to identify, cultivate, and attract talented financial professionals and teams to the organization. Drawing on his background in wealth management, business development, and mergers and acquisitions, Mike brings a relationship-driven approach to building Balefire’s advisor network and supporting the firm’s continued growth.
Mike earned a bachelor’s degree with a double major in Finance and Economics from The University of Alabama, where he was a five-year member of the Crimson Tide football team as a punter and contributed to SEC and National Championship teams. His experience as a collegiate athlete helped shape the discipline, competitiveness, and leadership he brings to his work today. In 2025, Mike was recognized by The University of Alabama National Alumni Association as an 18 Under 31 Young Alumni Award recipient, honoring exceptional young alumni for their professional and community contributions.
Mike lives in Dallas, Texas, with his wife, Hilary. Outside of work, he enjoys traveling, golfing, following Alabama football, and spending time with family and friends.
